Where is the 2016 Mirai Available?
Initially, the 2016 Toyota Mirai is available at eight dealerships in California, and the first batch of drivers are being chosen based on proximity to hydrogen fueling stations. Currently, there are about 50 fueling stations planned, under construction, or in operation throughout California. The first Mirai owner is an engineer, who is specializing in hydrogen fuel cells. Therefore, he has done a lot of research regarding fuel cell vehicles and understands their inner workings.

One thousand Mirai models have been allocated for the U.S. this year, and Toyota hopes to deliver the rest of them over the next 12 months. It also hopes to deliver 3,000 Mirai sedans by the end of 2017. The starting price of the 2016 Toyota Mirai in the U.S. is $57,500, but Toyota expects most drivers will opt to lease the sedan at $499 per month with a $3,469 down payment.
